I’m a 22-year-old from Houston, Texas, and a recent BBA graduate from the Cox School of Business at Southern Methodist University. Throughout my life, I’ve always had a passion for exploring new interests. Whether it was through photography, drawing, or even filling my childhood room with propagated plants to create an indoor garden, I’ve always loved diving into different creative outlets. At one point, I even had six or seven fish tanks filled with baby fish just for the fun of it.

For 13 years, I swam competitively, even achieving my childhood dream of swimming for SMU during my freshman year. However, my life took an unexpected turn when I was diagnosed with Type-1 diabetes in high school. Managing my health alongside swimming at the collegiate level became overwhelming, so I made the difficult decision to retire. While this chapter ended earlier than I had hoped, it led me to rediscover old passions and explore new ones.

In 2020, I became fascinated by the rise of influencers and the power of the internet. I dove deep into social media research, particularly the world of TikTok, and by early 2021, I had built a platform of around 230,000 followers in just six months. Through this experience, I learned how to analyze consumer data (my analytics) and create content that resonated with my audience. However, as time went on, I realized that being a public figure wasn’t for me. I value my privacy and decided to step away from TikTok to focus on more meaningful pursuits.

During my junior year, I had the incredible opportunity to study abroad in Barcelona. This was the perfect time to explore my creative side further. Photography, which had always been a consistent hobby, became a deeper passion while abroad. I grew comfortable shooting film and shared my photos on Instagram, shifting my brand to focus more on my work than on my personal life. I also rekindled my love for drawing, and since then, I’ve continued to create art in my free time. I’m excited about the future and hope to one day establish myself as a recognizable name in the art world.
